A Matter of Time

Newton, eat your heart out.

“It’s impressive, this dance and acrobatic performance by TeaTime Company, and it never becomes an accumulation of tricks…,”

Boukje Cnossen
De Theaterkrant, About RIPPLE  2024

“Three sticks. Three individuals. Dozens of possibilities. Under the Le Channel tent, in front of hundreds of spectators, these juggler-acrobats propel themselves forward, taking turns swinging and turning. The sticks they use are like Chinese poles reminiscent of giant Mikado’s. We see the use of the sticks on one arm, on one hand, on one foot and even on one finger. These are the special and impressive feats performed by TeaTime Company, all with great ease.”

Le Plus Équilibré
Le Voix Du Nord, Stick-Stok // Feux D’Hiver

“The performance was delivered with precision, with care. A fine combination between the practicality of actions in circus with the ongoing transitional flow of dance.”

Heleen Volmans
Dans Brabant

“Their strength lies in combining the natural with the unusual. This makes you crave more as an audience and go home full of joy.”

Nikki Rasings
Spectator at New Seeds Arnhem

“Everything was very impressive, the pace was great, plenty of surprises, good mix of skills.”

Spectator at Dance Ireland
New Movements Showcase

“The concentration speaks from their faces(…)when Rogerson walks triumphantly across the stage with four poles on her hands and feet like a giraffe, you can see what kind of gold TeaTime Company has in its hands…”

Caroline Verduijn
Theaterkrant, LINEAR // Festival Circolo

“These three have found their own material, namely the stick.(…)it sounds simple, but therein lies its power. The sticks are recognizable, but abstract at the same time(…)a good thing about TeaTime Company is that no story or characters have been invented, in Stick-Stok, it is purely about the game.

Technique, aesthetics and humour are present. But here too, as soon as the playing becomes more virtuosic, a piece of music starts and the whole thing becomes one beautiful picture…”

Brecht Hermans
